You only need a small bit of rad away to take care of any leftover radiation as long as you use Rad X immediately when you get there. Thelovebat: What you should be doing before you got there is got some Rad X, what you need there is radiation resistance so your radiation level doesn't skyrocket while you're in there. Haven't used the program successfully myself though so can't offer much help with it. If it doesn't work and you have nothing ingame to combat the radiation, you can try using FallEd to change stimpacks to RadAway. However, you cannot directly alter your radiation level with FALCHE, but you can alter your rad resistance. #Fallout 1 save game editor edit critters dogmeat windowsThat should work if you followed standard installation and are on Windows 7. Thanks for who answer me, and sorry for my bad english ^^ You needn't designate the path as the save folder itself, just the Fallout one. What i can do for not replaying from the beginning the entire game? I used FALCHE, that in Windows95 mode not find the save.dat file (even if i browse in Users/"User Nickname"/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles/GOG.com/Fallout/DATA/SAVEGAME/SLOT01), instead, in MDOS mode, it seems to work (I can change each value i want) but when i run the game, the save data is exactly how was before (and so I died again.) ![]() So, i'm arrived in The Glow, but when i exit from this vault, i died!! (too much radiations.)īecause this is my only save i tried to use a save/character editor for changing the radiations rate of my character. #Fallout 1 save game editor edit critters dogmeat for freeProbably because there is no animation frame to show Dogmeat using Stimpack.I take FO1 for free here in GOG.com, and i'm playing with this game right now. Dogmeat never uses Stimpack to heal himself, period. So I edited Dogmeat so I can trade with him, and then I gave him a lot of Stimpacks and boosted his first aid skill, with the hope that Dogmeat will use Stimpacks to heal himself during combat, However, Dogmeat will still often be the victim of Katja grenades, since he always charges ahead.īut of course, I can always enhance Dogmeat's HP and AC to compensate.Īnyway, the thing I like about vad's character editor is that you can change a critter to make it tradeable with. That way, she'll be less likely to hurt allies with her grenades (Tycho and Ian snipe the enemies from the distance while Katja peppers them with grenades from close range). In Fallout 2, you can tell NPC to not use burst mode when the player characters is near their target ("worry about hurting me" or something like that).įor now, my "workaround" is to tell Katja to stay away from me as far as possible, and to get close to the enemy. #Fallout 1 save game editor edit critters dogmeat modI still wonder if there's a mod to change Fallout 1 behavior to be more "sophisticated", for example, not using splash damage weapons or burst mode when the target is next to allies. Their appearance also changes, and so do their statistics. But after Ian uses rocket launcher, the deathclaw goes after him instead.Ĭlick to expand.Well in Fallout NPC mod, Ian, Tycho, and Katja change their armor after being told "use the best armor" in conversation menu. Since his big guns skill is pretty high, the result is quite satisfactory (for example, he never misses).īut I wonder why Ian insists to use pistol instead of rocket launcher, even though his small guns skill is already lowered to zero.Īlso, there is another interesting phenomenon: usually, the deathclaw solely focuses on me while ignoring my NPCs. And then he uses rocket launcher at the deathclaw. The only way I can make Ian to use rocket launcher is to take his pistol away. I then quit the game, and lowered his small guns skill to 0, while leaving his big gun skills at 85. So I modified Ian's big guns skill to 85 (using vad's Fallout 1 critter editor), gave him a rocket launcher, then we went to Deathclaw Warehouse area to have some fun. My NPCs are currently level 3 (I'm level 14), and according to this, Ian's small guns skill is 85. ![]()
